Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an FAPT and a SAT?
An FAPT gives the client more coverage for a larger estate. They can gain access to the Residence Nil Rate Band (RNRB) which is an extra £175,000 tax free transferable allowance for the distribution of their estate. Note that this is only applicable if the client has linear descent (including step and foster children).
